A significant amount of our environmental issues are a byproduct of inefficient waste disposal. The waste our vehicles currently produce result in Green House Gases (GHG) and toxic emissions. Our primary sources of electricity, nuclear, coal and natural gas produce massive amounts of radioactive waste, toxic emissions, contaminated ash, as well as more than 40% of our GHG emissions. Every aspect of modern society produces waste. In fact, the world generates 4-5 Billion tonnes of waste every year. Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries alone spend $300-400 Billion disposing waste in various ways.
